I have recently been given compression socks prescribed by a Vascular Surgeon. They were measured and bought from a medical supplier. Ever since I have been wearing them my RL have gotten worse!! Does it take a while to get used to them or has anyone had the same reaction?

I tried them. They didn't help but they didn't make my RLS worse.
I tried them. They seemed to work well the first night, but never again. I tried them a few months ago and I felt like my legs were going to explode if I didn't take them off. Once they were off, my RLS returned to its normal irritating state.
I tried both compression socks and the velcro bandages. Both made my RLS considerably worse
St George's Hospital, London, tried me in them over THIRTY years ago & came to the conclusion that they did not work for RLS.Because as we now know RLS is neurological NOT circulatory & therefore those stockings for circulation problems have no affect whatsoever.
But of course they may help some people as we are all different.
