US Cable News Network (CNN) today published this article: "Experimental pain drug may offer alternative to opioids for acute pain, study suggests" today which may offer a ray of hope to those of us who are using low-dose opioid therapy, but experience difficulties in either accessing the prescription or getting it filled at the pharmacy.
My medical knowledge is limited, but I'm hoping to solicit comments from members whose competence in this regard exceeds mine.

Great question, although, unlike my friend ChrisColumbus, I might be talked into participating in a drug trial on the chance that it might obviate the continual hassles of acquiring low-dose opioids, as Madlegs suggests.
I should clarify. If I (still) suffered regularly with RLS symptoms and needed treatment I might like you volunteer for a trial: what I definitely would NOT sign up for is a post-op acute pain relief trial! 🫣
