I have been taking 25mg cbd capsules this week and was surprised how strong the effects were but all in all I have felt really balanced and it has certainly helped with anxiety and RLS sleep issues however I have a quite low blood pressure and I have had 2 episodes of feeling quite faint and dizzy this week since taking the cbd and also stomach upset.
Was wondering if anyone had similar issues and if they subsided or you had to adjust doseage etc?
Don’t want to stop taking it as it has been amazing but the stomach issues and these 2 days of feeling really dizzy and unwell have not been awesome 🙁

CBD oil has a sweet spot (the right dosage for max benefits, no challenges) that can be different for each person. Finding that sweet spot can be difficult at first. I went slow, taking months to bring it up. I found that taking 2x the typical dosage brought wonderful relief. But it was scary to go that high at first. More than 2x - and I didn't feel so good.
Your body may still be adjusting to it or you may not have found your sweet spot yet. Maybe you need to take less. If you were in the US, I'd also question the product and warn you to watch where you bought it from. (I don't know what it's like in Australia, but the US is just starting to legalize it. There are good sources but still plenty of charlatans.)
If you're taking prescription CBD, definitely let your health care provider know your having symptoms so they can help you work through them.
If your taking an OTC (over-the-counter) CBD, the general advise is this: start out with a low dose and increase slowly. If we are talking apples to apples in CBD oil, 25 mg seems high to me. I started at 5 mg.
At the time I took CBD oil, my RLS was present but moderate. I don't remember if it helped RLS or not. I was trying to improve my neuroplasticity and calm PTSD - for which it was a significant aid! Now that my RLS has become a detriment to my life, I'm considering taking it again.
Thank you so much for your detailed response this is super helpful and makes sense to just bring it up slowly...may need to get oil rather so that I can increase the dosage as needed as I am stuck with 25mg caps!
It is prescription yeah so quality is good.
I definitely felt a difference in reducing anxiety and RLS symptoms so I hope it will work for you.
I started taking CBD oil about the same time I completely stopped Requip. I also started my Gabapentin 900 mg at close to same time. I now seldom have RL, so I have continued with CBD. In my state, it is only just now legal. I started with 1 mg of oil and I am up to 2 mg the last couple of months. I only purchase mine from a local pharmacy and trust them. I take right before bed but have never noticed any side effects but my dose is very small
thanks for sharing that’s fantastic that you are getting such good results! I have dropped my dosage down and also just taking before bed now not in the mornings for now will see how that goes..
Excellent advice from TreeSpirit. I would add that I doubt stomach upset was due to the CBD, since CBD is used to quell nausea, especially due to chemo. I am also going to suggest that you take it with food since that could help with the lightheadedness. I used to distribute a very strong tincture. Do you know what your CBD capsules contain? Is it cannabis based or hemp based?
Hi there, yeah cannabis based CBD Isolate 25mg. Since dropping the dosage the symptoms have slowly started to subside and i'm going for a scan next week to look into the dizziness and low blood pressure issues. Thanks for the advice much appreciated!!
