Spoke to a friend recently who has been taking CBD oil with some success with regards to her RLS. Has anyone else found it has helped?

Snake oil.
Unless it has THC in which case it's probably illegal.
Very effective as a placebo-- but way overpriced.
Raff's would go for the bar of soap!😭😜🤪. a lot cheaper!!
The term "CBD oil" is so vague, it's virtually meaningless. There is a whole host of products that come under that label and they all vary in what they contain.
In addition there doesn't seem to be any consensus on what combination of contents works best.
There's some evidence that medical cannabis is better than a placebo for helping sleep. There's some evidence that cannabis works for pain and anecdotal evidence it works for RLS.
However, I haven't come across any real evidence that "CBD oil" is any better than a placebo for anything.
It's probably a modern myth. Hence "snake oil".
There are cheaper placebos, but you mustn't ingest the soap.
There are some very convincing articles regarding the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) and sleep. However, as mentioned isolated CBD from Hemp is a non standardized treatment - how much is in each dose, etc. And also full spectrum CBD and Cannabis oil. I have tried full spectrum CBD with no real success, but also I believe if you can get some Cannabis oil, you will have better luck, even with a very low amount of THC. Here's a pretty good overview of the ECS... articles.mercola.com/sites/...
If you put 'CBD' in the search bar you will find lots of feedback on this. Some people do say they experience relief but they seem to be in the minority. Even full blown cannabis - ie with CBD and THC - is only effective for a minority of sufferers judging from the responses from the US states where it is available legally.
I've found if its not 20:1 its not that effective for me.
I use it helps my anxiety.
But only if a at least 20 to one. It does not get you high at this point.
Its not a snake oil.
Look for full.spectrum
And if you can get a 20 to 1 it works wonders for a lot of people I know.
More confident with this stuff for my safety.
The meds they have gotten me to try are not more me. Even if it cured RlS. Not worth it for me to be on meds that make me suicidal.
Hi, Poppip and All. I was excited to try CBD oil when I first started seeing articles about it in relation to RLS. I tried various forms and found none of it helped my RLS. The oil I had was particularly disgusting to take before bed or anytime. BUT, I toggle between DA drugs and I am titrating down in an attempt to get off of them. So, the augmentation may have been a factor in the above.
I am now trying various edibles with THC. Not only do they taste fantastic and so much better than any CBD or hemp product I tried, but they do help me to sleep. I am still working to find how much THC will do the trick.
Best of luck to everyone! I am grateful for all of the advice, especially learning that the DA drugs are ultimately the real culprit!
