Essential oils
I haven’t had any success with them but maybe someone else has.
Hello! I haven’t had an success with these helping RLS, but in terms of helping me mentally wake up I find that Rosemary Oil helps. I also use Lavendar Oil to help calm my mental nerves.
Thank you for your response, As you know anything that helps one deal with RLS is greatly appreciated. I’m going to try your suggestions 😊
You’re welcome!🙂
I rub Rosemary Oil behind my ears and on my neck. On days when I’m out and I feel like I’m going to collapse at any time (a.k.a. my true emergencies), I lay it on so heavily that I end up sweating it out my pores!
I use the Lavendar Oil behind the ears as well as on my pulse points (temples, inside of wrists).
I also have a couple of aroma balls that I use on my pulse points.
I have a bottle of Dr. Hauschka’s Moor Lavendar Soothing Body Oil on my nightstand. This works very well at calming me down (works really fast too — within 5 minutes!).
All my oils save for Dr. Hauschka go everywhere with me. Dr. Hauschka went out with me once, I used it on the bus, and let’s just say I felt a drunken calmness at an inappropriate time.
I hope these work for you!
I had a little success insomuch as I bought a 'calm legs' essential oils blend which my good lady wife massaged into my lower back. The massaging action helped in a distraction sort of way but unfortunately once it stopped my focus was back on the pain and crawling in my legs.
I've tried several essential oils in hot baths but other than the relief of the hot baths there was no other effects.
Thanks Ralf’s. Darn it I was really hoping the oils would help. Thanks for your reply 😊
A blend called Nighttime Leg Calm rubbed onto low back area helps me at night but I also take 2.5 mg of LDZn ( low dose naltrexone) twice a day. I also put 3 tablets of Hyland’s Restful !egs homeopathic tabs under my tongue at night. This helps to take the edge off.
I got into essential oils just to see if it would help. I have had no success with it. At times it actually made it worse unfortunately.
