Have now got the CBD spray I sent for but have some busy days ahead with early starts so a bit afraid to try. I think I will start with one spray under my tongue. Do I take it at bedtime or earlier in the day

Advice please

What is cbd spray and for what use

It is an extract - from either hemp or cannabis - which can have medicinal effect for a variety of conditions. When it is extracted from cannabis the THC element of the cannabis (which is the halucinogenic element) is not present.

It is considered to be beneficial for nervous complaints and has been found to be particularly helpful in the treatment of seizures in children.

How effective is it? I know each person is different and responds to certain medicines differently

Well, as I said earlier, I didn't find it particularly effective (actually it didn't seem to have much impact at all). Others swear by it however as you can see from some of the comments here. I would say, judging by how many people have experienced positive results, that it is worth trying although be aware that it is relatively expensive.

I use CBD oil and take 6 drops under my tongue morning and teatime. I has been a wonderful find thanks to someone bringing it to my attention on this site. I am off the awful pramipexole now and my legs are at peace in the evenings. There is a facebook page where you can get advice and ask questions - are you in the US or the UK? Hempworx in US and CBD Oil Uk for the UK. Good luck 😁

I am interested that you have managed to get off Pramipexole. I have managed to reduce my dose of this from 2 x 0.88mg to just one now after starting on CBD oil. No sign that I can reduce it more, so far. Do you mind me asking what dose were you on previously?

Hello

I was on 3 x 0.88mg Pramipexole which just wasn't working for me so the Dr wanted to put me on Ropinerole. I have heard lots of nightmare stories about these drugs so after a year of mediocre results I decided enough was enough, time to try a natural remedy if one was out there. CBD oil was mentioned on this site so I thought I would give it a go. HempWorx products unfortunately are not available to the UK so I bought 8% CBD Oil from CBD Oils UK. My original dosing of Pramipexole was 1 tablet at 6pm, 1 at 8pm and 1 at 10pm. I take 6 drops of CBD Oil in the morning and then in addition to that, the first week I did without the 6pm one and took 6 drops of CBD Oil under my tongue. The following week I cut out the 8pm tablet and the 3rd week I cut out the 10pm tablet. I do still have sleep issues but have started taking 4 drops of CBD Oil an hour before I go to bed which seems to be moving me in the right direction.

So, my dose of CBD oil now is 6 drops am, 6 drops 6pm ish and 4 drops at 10pm.

Good luck :o)

TSLBK, It is very expensive at £54.99, can you tell me how long a 10ml bottle lasts please?

I can't supply positive help but when I took cbd oil I took it as I went to bed and it had NO effect - so possibly that is not a good time to take it (although it could just be me - I am not particularly sensitive to the effects of medicines etc).

I should have said, the oil I took was a medium strength variety of Charlotte's Oil (28mg cbd per serving).

If the instruction is to take it under the tongue then I think that's the way to go. I take CBD oil and I take 2 drops under the tongue twice a day, once soon after I get up (variable) and another about 6pm. The earlier dose enables me to sit comfortably during the day (impossible before CBD). I take 1x0.088mg Pramipexole at about 8pm. This would normally initiate RLS before it starts to have a beneficial effect but CBD seems to prevent that from happening. I now found and believe, on limited evidence, that CBD prevents RLS from happening but it is less effective at stopping an attack once it starts. Hence the fairly precise timings for the CBD and Pramipexole.

Good luck!!

I am so happy that so many on this site are discovering and having success with CBD oil. It has truly been a Godsend for this long-time RLS sufferer. Blessings to all!

How long did it take to work and how do you take it

It is a Godsend for me too. I made my own oil infused with olive oil and then bought empty capsules at the pharmacy and full them up. It is nearly 3 weeks now since start using it. I drop from 2 and a half pexola to a half. So glad find something that help me wee of the dreadful pexola. I take one in the morning, one at lunch time and 2 at 8 in the evening. The first 2 nights the rls was terrible and I nearly stop using it. From there on every night it got better and better. Now I sleep for 7hours a night like a baby. So glad it works for me.

I bought a bottle of CBD oil from Holland & Barratt last week but have only tried it twice. It did seem to calm the symptoms though it didn't make me feel sleepy, which is what I expected. I also didn't expect it to taste so foul!! Will try it at tea time today and hope the food masks the taste.

Me too. Tried it twice but still woke up in night with RLS

I use a CBD oil concentrate with a dosage of actual CBD of between 40-60 mg per dose. I take it when my middle of the night symptoms jolt me awake. Yes my experience is that it calms the RLS (mine involves my whole body) very well. CBD also allows me to go back to sleep. It doesn’t necessarily make me sleepy but since it is in the middle of the night I can go back to sleep after a half hour or so since the RLS is relieved. And I am so thankful not to have to take codeine now which is what I have used for years to calm the middle of the night RLS from hell. Yes it is foul tasting. I measure it onto a spoon and have a cup of hot water at the ready to drink after I swallow the oil. I figure the hot water will melt the oil and get it into my system better and faster.
