I'm going to try and wean myself off ropinorole (2 x 0.25mg daily) because of augmentation and diminished efficacy. Is anyone finding CBD oil effective please?

CBD Oil?
A few on here have had success and many more too. For me when I had nothing I got CBD oil, unfortunately it did nothing for me unlike the full cannabis oil that has ALL the 200+ cannabinoids in it not just CBD which works great and again many find that cannabis works great, (if you get the right strain).
Thanks raffs. Where can I buy full cannabis oil (I am in the UK)? Is it legal?
Unfortunately the corrupt politicians have it illegal. It would involve you either growing your own cannabis or buying it and then making the oil yourself.
Indeed, I second raffs. A few people have reported positive results with CBD oil for controlling their RLS. However, for many it doesn’t do much, or may help to get somewhat better sleep - as it did for me initially.
If you are going to reduce the ropinirole, your symptoms are likely to get worse temporarily and I suspect you need something stronger to help with that. I came down from 0,50mg of ropinirole too and took tramadol 50mg to help coping with the RLS. But it would certainly not harm to try te CBD; it appears fairly benign.
Thanks LotteM - i'm going to try and persuade my GP to prescribe that!
In the UK doctors are very unlikely to prescribe CBD oil as it is regarded as a supplement. You can buy it from cbdbrothers.com/

Joolsg- I meant ask my GP to prescribe the tramadol whilst I gradually come off the ropinorole, not the CBD oil!
And to clarify, my original post was about whether , once I am off the ropinorole, moving forwards CBD oil would help.
Sorry about that.
My GP initially refused Tramadol ( scare stories about addiction) but agreed when I broke down in tears and begged her for help.
I also phoned my MS neurologist who wrote a letter to my GP telling her to give me opioids.
Hopefully your GP will be more knowledgeable than mine.
Not for withdrawal from ropinirole. The only thing that helped remotely was tramadol.
CBD oil does help with sleep once you are through withdrawal.
CBD oil did not help me, except to relieve anxiety to some degree, but full-spectrum oil helps with sleep. It also helps one to cope with the whole miserable shebang. If you can get it, do try it, it can do no harm at all and can do a great deal of good. If it is illegal where you are, your doctor will not prescribe it, he could lose his licence.
‘Ful-spectrum’ oil, as you call it, or cannabis oil or weed oil, thus including all cannabidoids including the psychoactive THC is not always completely harmless. Although not really harmful to me, it gave me heart palpitations at the very lowest dose and I had to stop taking it. Unfortunately.
FYI, off-the-shelf CBD oil is called 'expensive salad-oil' by the purveyors of the real thing, because it is so weak.
I have found that CBD oil helps relax me and therefore I get better sleep. Unfortunately lawmakers in MIchigan USA have just declared that CBD oil will now be regulated under our marijuana laws - in other words, illegal. So frustrating!
