I started it 2 weeks ago, its working wonders.

Sleep is increase from two hours a night to 4 to six.

It totally stopped the leg crap. But after 33 years ill. Take anything but anti depressants.

I'm using one to two grams every 4 to six hours.

Pretty happy!

Knockout. Love it. Kratom is really helpful for RLS. Grams? How many teaspoonfuls of K is a gram? I usually take one slightly heaped teaspoon full a night. It doesn’t always help, but enough for me to be grateful for its existence.

About two grams.

What on Earth is Kratom please? Is it available in the UK?

I believe you can order kratom online if it's not already there.

Its a leaf from a tree, that's is a cousin to coffee.

Just Google it.

Stay with reds if you try it.

Kratom is indeed a unregulated opiate like substance that is found in the leaves of a tree.

It is anecdotally quite effective for pain and RLS.

Here's a link to an article about it

Sorry its not a opiate. I believe they call it a antagonist.

Its a cousin of the coffee plant.

in reply to

You're right it isn't an opiate, it doesn't come from poppies.

However I didn't say it was, I said it was "opiate like". It has several psychoactive ingredients, one of them 20 times stronger than morphine.

Hence, this is why it can be effective for pain and RLS.

I find kratom very helpful for my rls. It is not well understood and very little studied, unfortunately, but I understand that it is believed to work on the opioid receptors. For me it works much better than opioids. Unfortunately, it is illegal in many countries and it is consequently unregulated. Taking it is therefore not completely without risk. For me other treatments were ineffective for a variety of reasons and my life almost worthless while the rls was untreated so it is well worth the risk. I find a curious anomaly with it in that the effects wear off after about 4 hours but if I take it during the day I need less of it the following night so there appears to be some sort of cumulative effect.
