Hi everybody,
Was wondering about Kratom. Has anybody here taken it? Effective? I've got so many health problems wanted to get other people's thoughts about it.
Hi everybody,

I think it is great. The thread below is a good starting point:

Thank you for the link.
Yes, it’s been helpful to me. When RLS is at its worst it’s not so effective, but I owe many, many night’s sleep to Kratom.
Yep! Been using it nightly for years now and rarely do I have RLS. On that rare occasion when I do, I simply take one more capsule and go right back to sleep. I had been at the point where many of the people posting on this website are now - rarely able to sleep, awake each night for hours at a time walking around trying to get it to stop. I was completely miserable and frustrated from lack of sleep, and overly tired throughout the day.
The other things I have to do to sleep well are to: cut out all sugar and caffeine after 1:00 p.m., and never eat a complete meal after 6:30 p.m. Light snacking is okay. My bedtime is 9:30 p.m.
Kratom is effective for many other medical issues, and I scratch my head at the US Government now trying to ban it. Makes no sense to me. I've never had a single reaction to it. Never gotten a "high", nor any euphoric feeling from it. I don't drink alcohol, nor take any kind of drug, but the herbal remedy, Kratom, has been my life saver!
May I ask where you get it from? How much you take? Sure appreciate your reply.
Sometimes at local vape shops (not all of them carry it) and sometimes from a highly recommended online vendor such as onlinekratom.com, or sacredkratom.com. I've ordered from both of them. The red strains are the ones that work for me. I bought a capsule machine to make size 0 capsules, and take 2 at bedtime, and two 45 minutes before that.
Where did you buy your capsule machine? I've looked on Amazon but some of the reviews scared me off.
Cut and pasted from a previous post of mine:
I'm getting 90% relief using powdered kratom leaf. It's available on the internet at eleven cents per gram when bought in bulk ($110 per kilogram). My favorite strain is "Red Borneo", although I rotate through 7 different strains, hoping that that will help to avoid tolerance building up. I'm using 8 grams per dose, two or three times per day. I mix each dose in a blender with 8 ounces of milk and a packet of Carnation "Breakfast Essentials" (aka "Instant Breakfast") which is also a powder. This concoction is needed (for me) to make palatable the kratom which is about as dry as chalk powder. Also I mix into each dose, one capsule (25mg) of iron bisglycinate ("comfort iron"), although many of the good people here recommend that the iron capsule be taken on an empty stomach and certainly not with milk!
If not for the kratom, I would move to Oregon where assisted suicide is legal! (Partially kidding--not sure how much!)
Return to this site often; the loving souls who write here are a great source of strength, courage, and solace.
NOTE WELL: Beginners should start with half the dose described above. I’ve settled with the 8-gram dose after nearly a year of efficacious use.
I have tried it in pills of 1 mg. I took up to 3 gr. No effect. I tried two times. I have stiill many pills if you like I can send you

Try stronger dose on empty stomach and no milky products. I take about 7/8 grams as does TheDoDahMan.
It would be a shame to miss out on the benefit by not taking the right dose for you!
hi raffs i am interested in getting/trying kranton where do you get yours from and how much does it cost no chance of getting off nhs is there???
little chance of getting it off the NHS - Big pharma can't produce it and monopolise it so they are more likely part of the effort to ban it.
PM sent
Hi raffs...I'm looking to buy Kratom for the first time can you give me details too please. I'm going to use it for a while to detox off Dihydrocodeine and then start back on them after a few months. Need to get the Codeine tolerance down a bit. Thanks..ooh are in UK ?
The place I used to buy from no longer seems to be going, well not in the format I bought from them in.
Google is your friend here.
Thanks raffs...yes I've been Googling and I'm all Google'd out now..in fact I've Google'd so much all through the night my RLS went into over-drive, going to bed now !!! What a life lol...
I order it from dekratomshop.nl and they post it to me. I've been using them for over a year now. The kratom seems to be of good quality.
oops should have said kratom silly me !!!
Unfortunately Kratom is illegal in the UK, I looked into getting it a while ago as I’d heard positive things about it 😞
hi southernbeau33 have you had a chat with raffs he knows how to get it good luck
Careful I'm not labelled a supplier and targeted!!!!
I just know how to type - buy, kratom and UK into google. Not much more to it than that other than a click!
Has anyone had difficulty when trying to reduce their dose of Kratom?
Restless legs for me only. That's all and takes @ 3 days to get off it.
Thanks Raff, I'm currently in Lyrica after getting of of Ropinerole. Only two days.
If don't work I will reconsider Kratom at higher doses.
I haven't any problem to get off of Kratom when I tried
Withdrawing from Kratom: I currently use a regime alternating Kratom and neupro. I take one for about 6 weeks then titrate down and gradually introduce the other so I have regular experience of withdrawing from Kratom. I have previously taken Kratom for a much longer period also so know what it’s like to come off it after a long period of use.
While I wouldn’t do it for fun, withdrawing from Kratom is not too awful - sometimes I have no appreciable withdrawals; other times it feels like a sort of flu (aches, lack of energy, listlessness, nebulous anxiety and physical discomfort etc). The severity of withdrawal does depend on the length of time you have been taking the Kratom and, crucially, the size of the daily dose. Even at worst, however, it is nothing like as bad as, say, withdrawing from OxyContin or, even worse, a dopamine agonist after a long period of augmentation.
The discomfort of the withdrawal is minuscule set against the relief the Kratom affords from my fairly severe RLS
I only get restless legs feelings and I hate it. But it all goes away after about 3-4 days.
It is a truly awful feeling. I hope it continues to be intermittent for you.
I don’t want to sound like a pusher, there really is nothing in this for me and of course you should inform yourself of all the dangers, BUT I find Kratom great for those temporary patches of rls as it can be taken on an as-and-when basis.
I have been using kratom for 2 years now for pain and Restless leg and I can sleep better now.that seem to be when it was bothering me most
But with high doses you do have the wobbles
Hey. Kratom is really an excellent remedy, but it is not a panacea for all diseases and you first need to consult a doctor because, despite all the useful properties, Kratom has side effects like any medicine. I personally used Kratom for joint pain and it helped me a lot. Kratom is one of the best remedies for fighting various diseases. He helped me a lot and the effect was just amazing! The most important thing is to find a quality kratom from Thailand or Indonesia. I usually buy kratom to order from kratomrack.com/category/kra... and I really like this store and the quality of kratom.
