Has anyone tried hypnosis.
I have for anxiety as part of Graves Disease but not for RLS. The relaxation tapes helped a bit but it was too expensive to continue the hypnosis sessions long term. It may help with any associated anxiety caused by RLS or if stress makes your RLS worse but I can't see how it would help apart from that. Good luck if you do try it x
Yes I did, snd it didn't help me 🙄😔
Yes, I had two separate sessions with one hypnotist and 3 with another but neither made any difference. I think it might work if the hypnotist had good knowledge of rls but they are few and far between and none close to me.
worth a try but unless the hypnotist understands the nature of the problem, I don't see how it could help.
good luck.
It is something a lot of people have tried that I have dealt with over the decades. As Pippin said, it may help associated anxiety, BUT, RLS is not a "behavioral" issue, it is a neurological disease with real causes. So, you might get help with "anxiety behavior" but not the RLS itself, since RLS has physical causes. Can't hypnotize our genes, and 70% of RLS is genetic.
Thanks for your comments just thought it might help would try anything
No oZXY I cant -because I have epilepsy & could be very dangerous -I think hynososis is dangerous anyway
I can't see how hypnosis would help RLS, as RLS is not "in my head" it is a true medical condition. Now, might it help with withdrawing from certain meds used for RLS symptoms, maybe.
