There's no hard proof that it works for rls- but it won't harm you- unless you have a mental condition.

And don't we all, rls sufferers, have a mental condition!

Try it, and let us know how you get on.

At worst it will be ineffective,at best it might help you ignore or cope with the symptoms better. I hope you do try it and it works.

Let us know how you get on please.

Good luck.

I tried hypnotherapy years ago, did nothing for my RLS, and cost a fortune to find that out.

I did hypnosis for quitting smoking - like 100 years ago. Very interesting experience, being hypnotized. I felt it could help, but I wouldn't let it. A most interesting book on the power of the mind - "You are the Placebo" youaretheplacebo.com/

Dic, have you tried this? Any impact? I am convinced that if we teach these concepts to our children at a young age then it is a tool they will readily have at their disposal.

Years ago I remember reading about people with Multiple Personality Disorder - now called Dissociative identity Disorder - one personality could have diabetes and the other not. I knew then that there was a huge possibility of mind over disease.

When I think about that too much my brain starts to implode.

I asked my sons psychiatrist if it would help his OCD and hw said it can help for short term things like getting you over the first few days off quitting smoking or a diet or phobia but not for much else. I think you would just end up lighter in the purse/ wallet.

It is not going to work to help with a neurological disease. You have to be susceptible to it, also. BUT, hypnosis is for behavioral issues, OCD, smoking, compulsive behavior, etc. It is not going to fix our messed up neuroreceptors in our brains. Save your money, beady. RLS is not a behavioral issue at all. it is a neurological disease.
