Hi Beady,

If you put 'cbd oil' into the search bar you should get lots of info. Some people find it very useful but others found it didn't help at all - isn't it ever thus with rls? It's probably worth a try although it is quite expensive and maybe better to keep expectations low enough.

Breaker Breaker good buddy, CB oils aren't the same as CBD oils :) :p (sorry couldn't resist that).

I have tried them - good quality oil from CBDBrothers, back when they were able to sell on Amazon - and got no discernible effect, (...and I really wanted it to work).

I would suggest trying it, as long as it was a proper quality oil, as it may work - many have reported benefit so its worth a punt, or few quid, (little monetary joke there for those that are interested). Some extract from ordinary hemp which is a much lower grade product, even though you are not getting the THC you need the CBD extracted from the same plant that produces the THC - people can save a lot using ordinary hemp and pass it off as the good stuff so read the small print carefully.

Personally speaking I only benefit from the full cannabis plant be it in the form of a full spectrum oil or the cannabis plant proper. If you can get that I'd bet you'd find a much more effective treatment.

I've just noticed that Holland & Barrett are selling Jacob Hooy CBD capsules - has anyone tried these? I've used the drops before but didn't persist as much as I should have done because the taste was so foul, capsules may be the answer.

If you do decide to try it, you need full-spectrum CBD. From marijuana, not hemp. It's the THC that works the magic.

Yep,yep. Full spectrum. High dose. 40 mg daily. Helps me keep it to one breakthrough a week. It’s notthat expensive. RSO from Double Delicious is only $25 for 1000 mg. That’s almost a months worth.

I get relief from the oil at CBD Direct and use it only midway through the night. My other meds get me to sleep OK, but then I wake up about 3 o'clock with mild symptoms and the RLS insomnia. A dropper full of the oil from CBD Direct (for calming) puts me back to sleep quickly for another good 3 to 4 hours. This way I get 7-8 hours every night.

You are very lucky to get on so well with your meds, I hope I have as much luck , will let you know

Here is the website I use which has a multitude of offerings: directcbdonline.com. Many are expensive, but look under tincture oils to find Reliva Wellness Tincture, 250 mg for 19.99 per bottle. Taken once a night this lasts a month and has been very effective for me. The bottle is labeled for relaxation, but it sure helps me sleep. Good luck!

I know you say relaxation but have you got rls bad because I have

Yes, I do. After trying a variety of meds which didn't help (gabapentin etc.), I discovered my ferritin level was very low and went on a regimen of daily iron, plus vitamin C for better absorption. It was amazing how much this alieved my RLS, although I also take a small dose of ropinerole (.5 mg) about 8pm to knock back the nighttime crazies. I know if I took a higher dose I could sleep better, but that path leads to augmentation. That's why I thought of trying the CBD oil, and so far it's the best answer. I also have some magnesium tablets on order, as I've read on this site that they've been helpful to many people for sleep. I'll let you know if they help at all. If you haven't had your ferritin level tested, do so. It should be well over 100 so maybe you are deficient there.

Actually it's called CBD oils...part of the cannabis plant. Well worth a try ....works for many people. If no work suggest you try CBD+THC CANNABIS. This amazing plant cures many, many ailments ....and I mean MANY. Good luck on your research . Unfortunately corruption in the health business has stifled a lot of truths! p.s at this point in time it is classified as a sick bird (an ill eagle) but is available if you seek. GOOD LUCK.

Hi

I use the green cbd oil from Simplycbd.co.uk, it certainly helps me to relax in the evening and not have to pace about for relief. I take it 3 times a day, you have to build the dosage up till you find your “sweet spot”. There is a support group on Facebook (simplycbduserssupportgroup) which is very useful. It’s worth a try.
