My Restless leg seems to be a vitamin deficiency.

So my ongoing test of Potassium Citrate has been fantastic! As soon as I feel my legs or hips...starting up my husband notices and says take your pill ( 2 over the counter Potassium Citrate has been working for me, if it starts to come back I take another one. I have had 0 episodes of "midnight madness" since I started to it. The other night I thought that I'd become immune to it as I'd taken another pill and it did not work as well so I added one over the counter Calcium and Magnesium pill, that did the trick! This all works with in a 1/2 h. If there is any sensation left it is so minor that I can sleep through it. It's been 15+ years since I've slept like this!!!!! I would toss, flip, rock, cry... all night only to finally get to sleep around 3pm and not full at that. I'm so thankful, I pray that this keeps working for me.

It is great news that you are getting good sleep which is where we would all like to be. Sometimes when I am having a bad night I would eat a banana which of course is a source of potassium and I find I can usually settle down after this. I looked up potassium citrate and see there can be a lot of side effects so I would be wary of going down this track for myself. Good wishes for your treatment that works for you.

Midnightmadness -- I am so pleased to read that you have had success with RLS. I am taking magnesium, but that doesn't help. My Sifrol is augmenting for a second time and the doctor has given another drug to take with it. But if only I could find a natural cure. Am going to get some of the potassium citrate to add to my magnesium and calcium. Thank you for your letter and the information.
