A lot of people take tramadol. Some take OxyContin (targinact is licensed for the treatment of Rls in EU). Codeine can also be helpful.

I wake in pain every morning and take 900mg of Gabapentin. The pain subsides within 30mins but does not go away entirely

I’m on 600 gabapentin and occasional Loratab I learned gabapentin is off label use for rls treatment when I left it at home during a vacation. I also take requip 0.5. If pain is keeping you awake then find out what is causing pain and see if you can get a procedure like epidural steroid injection to treat the pain without a bunch of pain pills. Sleep is crucial for pain control. The better quality Sleep you get the less your pain

Gabapentin is an alpha 2 delta ligand- very similar to pregabalin so if pregabalin doesn’t help your pain, Gabapentin won’t either.

As ID suggests, you may have to add a low dose opioid like tramadol or oxycodone on an as needed basis or continually.
