Hi everyone, we've talked a lot about mag. threonate and I wondered if anyone is aware of the optimum level of mag. in the system for RLS. I'm wondering if,like iron levels, this needs to be higher for us sufferers.

I have been taking magnesium with calcium and zinc and I feel like it's helping me. My arms seems to have calmed down and my legs have been better. I have been taking now for 2 months and I feel a difference. I take .75 mg of Meripex extended release which I use to take 1 1/2 mg every night of regular meripex not ex release and I didn't feel like that worked plus I didn't take the mag zinc and calcium. I will slowly come off of the meripex it may take a long time but with this vitamin and watching what I eat think I can I hope plus I'm up very early this morning but I'm not uncomfortable with RLS bothering me and that's like a miracle.

Hi I am in Spain where the 'go to' thing for RLS is magnesium given in dissolvable tablet form from off the shelf - I am taking it sure its pretty low doseage but I have managed to sleep through 3 of the last 4 nights so maybe they are working?? Don't think you can lose anything by taking mag as a supplement.

I've been taking mag, malate for some time but it hasn't worked so i'm about to change to mag.threonate to see if this is better. What i don't know is how much we need to have in our system to have an effect.

Hi I've been taking a mag, calcium plus vitamin D supplement. I looked to see which type of magnesium it was and it said mag. Oxide. I didn't know there were so many different magnesiums. Does anyone know more about them?

I have been taking 1250 mg of magnesium malate for over a year with great success. I usually take half early evening and then one before I go to bed.

Mine is just called magnesium. what is Magnesium. threonate, and why is it bettr for you. Also where can you buy it? As I said Magnesium helped my cramps but unfortunately has done nothing for my restless legs. Maybe I am taking the wrong magnesium. Someone said they took it at night with success but I read where magnesium takes 12hours to get into the system so iv'e now tried taking it about lunchtime. What I can't figure out is why for nights I am walking the floor and then on an odd night I go to bed and sleep ok then back to no sleep again. Thought it might be some foods but Doc said no it's a shortage of dopamine or something in your brain. Just hoping some bright spark will come along with a cure. I am from England but there seems to be thousands of people with it all over the world. joan storer
