hi there i was on Tramodol if your taking two is it a day or a time, whichever please see your doctor or phone 111 up for advice, i was on them but took me off because they can be addictive that's my advice please just advice from a doctor or pharmacy take care Alan

I was taking 150mg extended release twice a day.

Why suffer if you can increase the tramadol? As long as its within recommended guidelines you should be good to go!

Happy Christmas.

I am currently on Tramadol 200 SR twice a day for pain. I find nothing can stop the RLS except valium and a menthol/lavender Arthritis and muscle cream. Currently, it is when I go to bed it starts.

I am also on 200 mg Zoloft a day and if I for whatever reason miss a dose or don't do the dosette correctly it has absolute terrible effects kick starting RLS and RAS. It can then take a day or 2 to lessen the symptoms so I figure it is more withdrawals that set off the RLS and the nerve pain.

When it is because of a missed dose in the morning I will start to feel symptoms around 1pm and by 4 pm I am all but in full flight of it.

So I am really careful about double checking the pills in the morning to make sure they are all there.

The silly thing most of all is that I still need to take Panadol Osteo to top up in pain relief. I also have a good TENS machine. I also have a back brace that was moulded especially for my back and sometimes I wonder what in the heck is going on. I wish I could afford to be weaned off everything to see just what is going on,

Hi Beady

Merry Xmas to you!

I take 2 about 5.30, 1 at about 2.00 then 2 at 7.30. I got them for pain in my legs and they very much help stopping my nightly urge to walk around. I am much better with them. I also take nightly 1.25 mg of clonazepam

Hi Beady. 2 didn't work for me so I take 2 at about 3.30 p.m. and then 2 more between 8 - 9 p.m. So far so good. I've had a couple of RLS breakthrough incidents but only minor. Good luck and I hope you have a peaceful Christmas xx

Speaking just for me, I'd say whatever makes you comfortable and doesn't cause hardship on your loved ones and or caretakers, just do it.

10 years ago my neurologist wanted me to endure 2 or 3 hours of misery every day to avoid taking an extra pill so I got a new neurologist with my same ideas of a comfortable life.

Hi beady3. Merry Christmas to you. If you remember, both of us are taking TRAMADOL and same dose. Oddly enough I had the same experience a couple of weeks ago, for some reason or other I started getting RLS very early in the day, it wasn't that bad so I just went about my day, but at around 3 pm it was getting worse and in my arms that it made me so desperate and feeling a bit scared about augmentation, I took a pill. 50mg. and then continued with my regular schedule at 5:30 and 11:30. The following day everything was back to normal, no RLS during the day, continued again with my regular schedule and NOTHING has happened again. I don't understand what that was all about. Go ahead and take another as needed, we're on a very low dose. I hope it works for you. I was very nervous that the TRAMADOL wasn't working anymore and that I was starting augmentation, but all is as normal as can be. Let me know what you decided and if you're back to the normal routine. Johanna

Hi, I have MS and have suffered with rls all over. Tramadol is the only drug that seems to help. I started out at 4 a day, but now take 2 a day. Some days I do take 3 to help make it through the day. I think it would be ok to take an extra one now and then. Merry Christmas! Hope this helps

Have just found this site have suffered with rls for years off and on but recently much worse very little sleep and arms involved too. Dr gave me Pramipexole on Thursday last week took first pill that night. Got to sleep ok fairly quickly for me. Woke up after two hours with a full on panic attack. I sleep with clap machine and couldn't get the mask of quickly enough. All night after that if I tried to lay down my heart started racing and I felt really panicked. Spent the night dozing in the chair. This eventually wore off about 3.00pm but it was awful I also felt very ill with it. Interesting about the Tramadol. I take it for pain and had been trying to cut down on how much I was taking as I am on 8 tablets a day. Wondering if this has triggered the bad rls attack. Will be going back to my usual dose tomorrow and will go back to Dr to return the other tablets.

Sorry you have had all those probs which I don't know the answer to ,but I am on 2 Tramodol a day for rls and after 15 months of taking them I still get so tiered so how do you manage with 8 a day good luck any way

I had been cutting down on my tramadol and was down to three a day. I have just been prescribed nortriptyline and I think that is what has caused this last bad attack of rls. I had been getting just an occasional bout but in the last two months it has been constant. I have upped my tramadol again and stopped my nortriptyline until I get back to see Dr. I am so pleased that I found this site or I would not have known about tramadol being helpful, I suppose that is why it has been quite well controlled recently. I slept well last night no les at all feel human today.

Hi Beady I take tramadol you as far as I can see did not mention the strength I was taking the extended dose but it was not helpful so was switched to the regular of which I take 100 -to 200 mgms at a time and pray it zaps the torment.I just feel one has to experiment to a certain extent as people have different tolerances and reactions.
