can anyone tell me after years and years of taking Dophamine tabs and not a lot of good,why is it Tramodol has worked from day one its 4weeks now and not a fiicker of rls ,for me it's a god send ,I just can't understand why it works As you can see Kim alls well hope you are. Beady 3 x

Not everyone responds to the dopamine meds for RLS. Some people cant even try them as they make them ill. The pain meds like Tramadol or other pain meds have worked for RLS for people for years. But not all of us who has RLS can can them either. We are all so different on what helps us and what doesnt when it comes to treating RLS.

Hi Beady3,glad Tramadol is still working for you, I think it's a lottery it works for some and not for others. It works for me and so glad that I found them. I'm trying the copper bracelets that were advertised on this site and so far I've been able to half my medication with no RLS day or night, will let you know how I get on.

Hi Beady, yes different meds work for different people but I have no idea why! Suppose we just all respond in different ways .For example I am the opposite way round to you, I do well with the dopamine meds (for a while until augmentation happens) but got no relief whatsoever with Tramadol.The only thing to do is to keep trying till you find one that helps you and that you can tolerate -not always easy! Yes thankyou I am doing ok getting 90 percent relief from symptoms and sleeping well most of the time .So pleased you are still doing well x

I find Co Codamol helps me. I have also started taking Magnesium tablets (£1 from savers store) and so far after 1month been able to half my ropinerole tablets. I think a good result. Will keep you posted.
