Difficult, but okay so far...

Thanks to all you fine folk that has sent good wishes, advice etc.

Cor, I've gone a bit daft today. Made two Casseroles, 1 to freeze, 'cause I hate cooking, but don't like processed food - so, I cheat and do Stews and stuff, and get two days out of it. Casserole Queen, Ha!

Then I cleaned my Kitchen from top to bottom, and did the floors. Then thought I'd best give my Mucky Car a wash and a Hoover, as it goes in for a Service tomorrow. It started to bl...y snow as I was in the middle of it - typical. Phew, I'm fair knackered now, bet I sleep tonight though.

Had some twinges for sure, but I'm just acting as if I've been a non-smoker for a long time... and it's just a stupid memory. Seems to help a bit.

Thanks John for reminding me to go easy on the gum, lozenges and stuff. I do have a habit of trying everything all at once - not wise. Otherwise, I'll have more nicotine in me than when I was smoking!

Just now, I'm grateful not not to have to puff today.

Will check in again tomorrow sometime.

Stay safe everyone, and thanks.

Gill, xxx

Keep at it Gill, you CAN do it. You have done the right thing keeping yourself busy, you house will be spotless and you will be a fantastic cook :) You will keep getting twinges I do and I am on Day 10 but stick with it and if you feel the urge to smoke come and read the posts on here, I have found that really helps. I am using Cools which I find very good, I have tried patches, inhalers and gum in the past and they did not really work, but these cools do seem to take the craving off and now are getting a bit strong so hope to cut down on the mg over the next week or so. Keep positive and smiling. suecx

Well done Gillyflower your a star.

Gastronomy Godess and Valet in one

Plus smoke free.

Now treat yourself to a packet of jelly babies.

Eat each one individually and inflicting as much pain as you can to the jelly baby.

Personally,I start with the ears. Then one foot as a time.Finishing the little bugger off with one quick gulp.

Hopefully, this trade secret may help you?

Oh Gilly that made me giggle about the stews and stuff. Since I stopped I have been trying to use the extra time for meal planning and cooking. I am not a big fan of cooking but this has helped me stay away from the cigs and the supermarket. I have worked out that I really only need to cook about once every 3 weeks :) I make a big spag bols, chilli, soup, mince stew etc and split into 3 so if I make 7 dishes thats tea for 3 weeks. Lazy and a bit predictable but is funnily enough saving me a few bob as well coz I am not going to the shops as much and I dont keep moaning coz noone knows what they fancy for tea.

Just need to take a leaf out of your book now and get the house and the car sparkling.

Stay strong everyone
