It is difficult to go it alone....have you any smoker friends who would be willing to give up with you? That way you can support each other...I gave up in February, its difficult, but im beginning to feel the benefits now, especially in my purse!!! Good luck.....

Hi tdb60, One of our advisors will be in touch shortly with some tips. In the meantime, some of the case studies on our website might help stopsmoking.org.uk/content/...

Hope this is useful & good luck. Emma

Hi tdb60,

you've taken a massive step already by coming on here to look for more help. Well done for that alone!

Just to give us a bigger picture about yourself so that we can help you further, can you tell us whether you have stopped smoking before, how many you smoke each day and whether or not you have ever used any form of nicitine replacement therapy in the past?

To get you started, how about trying the following....

1. Make a list of reasons why you would like to quit

2. Think about, and write down the reasons you feel you may struggle

3. Work out how much smoking actually costs you and the things that you are likely to spend the money you will save on....

You really can get there, nobody says it's going to be easy, but everybody says it's worth it....

Speak soon
