Hello and welcome to our weekend chat π¬
The next couple of weeks can be a very busy time with everyone rushing around to get ready for Christmas. Try not to get too stressed out about things as exposure to stress puts your body in βfightβ or βflightβ mode. This stress causes hormones to flood your bloodstream and you may find yourself snapping at people or withdrawing from them. Your body is amazing and itβs telling you something which you should listen to.
Aching musclesβ¦β¦β¦.soak in a warm bath.
Persistent tirednessβ¦β¦β¦.get an early night.
Overwhelmed by everythingβ¦β¦β¦..set aside time for yourself to relax.
Pause for a moment, take deep slow breaths to calm your mind and body. Donβt keep your feelings bottled up, lighten your emotional load by sharing them with a friend and there are plenty of us here who are more than happy to listen. Quit Support is always on hand to help. Journal your thoughts as writing down what youβre feeling helps to clear your mind and organize your thoughts.
Treat yourself with the same kindness and understanding youβd offer a good friend.
Physical activity is a great stress reliever so take a short walk or any type of movement that feels good to you - it can make a big difference to flood your body with endorphins.
Itβs very important to remember that having a cigarette will not helpπβ
Focus on the present and staying smoke free is the best gift you can give yourselfπ
Have a very happy weekend and weβre here if you need usππ€π€π«βοΈπ°π«βοΈπ§xx
