Hello and welcome to our Weekend Chat everyone πββοΈ
I know for some of you itβs been a difficult day weather wise, hope youβre all safe and warm after the stormπ€
Stopping smoking can also mean some days are more challenging than others.
If youβre in the early stages of quitting and youβre not used to coping without lighting up, itβs normal to have good days and not so good days. This will pass as your body and mind adjust to the changes and you settle into a different routine.
Youβre doing something great for your body but sometimes your emotions might take a while to catch up. Thatβs ok too.
These feelings are very common and they will fade. If youβre struggling with your emotions, talking to someone else is a great place to start. Our Quit Support Team are always on standby to help.
Remind yourself that everything is temporary and it will pass. You decided to stop smoking for very good reasons and try to remember those reasons often.
I know our lovely TheTabbyCat had her reasons stuck up on the fridge for a very long time to remind her and that certainly worked very well for her. Or have them on your phone to hand for those tricky moments.
Focus on all the good things that quitting can do and be proud of your achievements. Every day smoke free is a WIN π so keep going, youβre all Winners hereππͺππ
Have a great weekend and stay smoke freeπππ€π°π«π°βοΈπ°xx
