Itโs time to say goodbye to Nopevember and hello to December. Itโs a new month and new possibilities for being smoke free๐ญ๐ช
The wet and windy conditions are a great incentive not to go outside for a smoke. When I think about previous winters when I smoked and the trouble of getting loads of clothes on and even gloves, just to get outside for a smoke๐ฉ I even remember the little burn holes on the gloves and jackets, itโs crazy the lengths we go to. Imagine the difference not doing all that and not being a slave. I didnโt want to be a slave to cigarettes anymore. I wanted my freedom and although it wasnโt plain sailing, it was the best thing I ever did. If it hadnโt been for Quit Support Iโm not sure I could have done it by myself to be honest.
Quitting is a journey and that journey is more of a marathon than a sprint. At times you really have to dig deep and remind yourself why you want to be smoke free. Friends of mine that had never smoked thought it was just a case of stopping and that was the end of this. We all know itโs far more than that and thatโs why Quit Support is brilliant. We understand as we have experienced it ourselves. So this weekend, if youโre tempted just pop on here before you act on it. Itโs a lifesaver.
Another benefit is the money which is badly needed at this time of the year. I can afford to spoil the little ones and see the joy on their faces. And I donโt miss a moment of it now I donโt keep nipping outside for a puff. So many benefits and of course I havenโt even mentioned the main benefits to our health as thatโs a whole other post for another time.

Great post Briarwood ๐๐ปโบ๏ธ being a smoker just takes up so much time and preoccupation!! Now I can just get on with things, doesnโt have to start with a cigarette or worry about or on continuous breaks! And like you say this time of year those breaks take longer, with having to pile on all the clothes!! ๐ฅบ then Iโd have my โdonโt smell Iโm a smokerโ routine!! ๐ฉ chewing gum, more perfume, wash hands!! ๐ณ
There is so much to gain and nothing to lose!! ๐ Even where it was a crouch at times, Iโve now learned to listen to me and support myself through a situation better. If I need a breather, I take one for me because thatโs what I need, not because I thought I just needed a cigarette ๐ญ which was hard at first and quit support was a massive support during these times ๐๐ป๐ but now feels nice ๐ฅฐ๐ ๐ญ
