Panda202Planning to quit

I’m starting tomorrow, I’m terrified. I’m an anxiety smoker but I know that I can’t keep doing this, especially now. I have children to think of. I will really need a lot of support if anyone can help me!!

Hello Panda202 welcome to Quit Support and well done on your decision to quit. Its not easy but it will be the best thing you could ever do for you and your family.

Its also easier with support which you will get oodles of from our members.

Have a look at the pinned posts which you will find either to the right or at the bottom of your screen, there you will find lots of useful tips and information.

Its a good idea to make a plan and to change up your routine e.g. if you usually have coffee and a cig in the morning try tea ordinary or herbal instead. This is to break the link and association. Write a list of the pros and cons of smoking and keep it where you can see it. Make sure to drink plenty of water, this helps with cravings and ridding the body of toxins caused by smoking.

Keep coming on here and reading others posts, it helps to know you are not alone.

Good for tomorrow.

A big warm welcome to our friendly Quit Support Community Panda202 :) :) I'm just loving that your quitting the smokes tomorrow :)

Please dont be terrified, cos I think we all feel a bit like that when we first quit :o maybe cos we dont want to let anybody orrrrrr ourselves down if we have a slip-up :o

I dont think there are many people that can say, ''they quit the first time'' :o like myself, we need a few attempts before we actually dooooo it :) So please dont worry :) and if you do have a bit of a blip, then just come on here, let us know and we will try to help and guide you on your next attempt :) :)

Panda, take care now and good luck to you :) :)
