Welcome Jamiew, thank you for joining us. First of all well done on your decision to quit. Its not an easy task but it certainly is worth it.

No your not losing your mind. All those symptoms you describe are very normal withdrawal ones.

If you have a good look through the pinned posts, there is a lot of information on anxiety, moods, dreaming etc.(these are to the right or the bottom of this page.)

Make sure you drink plenty of water, to help rid the toxins. Exercise to keep your lungs healthy. Its very common to go through various withdrawal symptoms , but they will go in time. We are all here to help and advise.

I dont know if your using any nicotine replacement , but please dont be afraid of using some , should the withdrawal , /cravings get too much to handle.

I will assign you your progress badge next to your name, plus add your name to our wall of winners.

Look forward to supporting you. :) xx

Hi Jamie,

I’m at 39 days so a similar stage to yourself. I think I was hit with most of these symptoms a bit earlier on as I seem to be over the worst of it, I do often wonder when I will feel ‘normal’ again though as I still don’t feel quite myself, like you said a lack of energy, and I’ve gained quite a temper 😂😈

I’ve stopped before for 2 years so I know it gets better!! I just can’t remember when it did last time. Keep going you’re doing amazing it’s so worth it in the long run!!! Honestly you will get there!! 💗

Xxx

Well done to you to! The last couple days have been a bit better. My god the temper I have at the moment I just need to be left alone Haha.

I'll get there it's just all new after 15 years of smoking. But feeling better for it.

Congratulations on 6 weeks. From my recollections this is about the worst time, keep going, it will get better. Somehow one has to embrace the whole situation and remember you don't smell like an ashtray. Try and focus on the positives. Sending good vibes to ya.
