I started my quit on 12/30/2018, reaching the tenth month mark soon. There is so much freedom in not smoking. I am not perfect yet..I always believe I am but one cigarette away from a pack. Because I have tried to quit about ten times over the years and that was my down fall, one cigarette with friends alway lead to more. This time around I realized, I cannot do that. We must keep in mind we are addicted to nicotine. So onward in my journey I go.

Welcome Spicecat, lovely to have you join us. Almost 10 months quit which is a brilliant achievement. Love your post as this will encourage others. especially those that relapse. It proves it really is possible.

Thank you for your honesty about trying 10 times and your doing so well,I come from a family of smokers and drinkers I am youngest of 13 kids, my dad smoked 50 or 60 cigs a day all of us smoked,but my mum Never smoked and died at 41, I used this for an excuse for years😁keep doing what your doing xx 🌷

Thank you for your encouragement. As smokers @Hannon1 we tend to come up with many reasons to smoke. Also we ignore a lot of what is happening to our bodies. I have bad allergies, and I get sinus infections. However I was getting three a year, which was not good. Fall is bad for me because of all the goldenrod. I got a sinus infection in October. However that was the only time I was sick. So not smoking does help. The first three months are killer, you are foggy, tired, hungry, anxious..then it slowly starts going away. Stick with it..it is all good not to smoke. I came from a smoking family too. It killed them early. The were smart loving people. NOPE
