Am I at 10 months yet?

Hello friends old and new.

I’m pretty sure I have passed the 10 month mark. Don’t want to be smug, I know people trip up sometimes after years, but I feel so happy to be a nonsmoker. I really don’t want to do that again.

Things I love are

not sneaking about. I was so ashamed of smoking, never wanted to draw attention to it, so if someone called when I was in the garden, or if I had to go straight into something, I would be miserable.

Feeling clean, and staying clean.

Feeling healthy.

Having loads of spending money,

Doing new things, because I’m not jealously guarding my smoking time anymore.

Feeling closer to my husband and family.

Succeeding at this has boosted my confidence, now exercising and eating well.

Thanks to everyone on here, you helped so much

Mmxx

That is a fantastic achievement 👍I totally understand what you mean about 'guarding your smoke time'... it is amazing how much I didn't do as I would need that time to smoke.

I really hope I can beat it this time and do as well as you are :)

Thank you. I know that at 3 weeks I was on here all the time, thinking about smoking constantly and waiting to fail, despite the Champix, but the days go by and you realise that you didn’t think of it after breakfast, or dinner, or before bed, and that the journey you took was much easier without finding smoking places, and that the sore place on your lip has healed, and you’ve stopped snoring, and you don’t lose your rag so often. And you’ve saved tons of money. It’s all good, well except for getting fat, but truly, I was a bit fat anyway!

Tubby darling, didn’t mean that people here are telling fibs, I meant when people disappear you don’t know why. I choose to believe people too.

Off to stay with a friend this week, she doesn’t smoke. Visited her last year when I was smoking and had to keep going in the garden, so nice that I won’t need to this time.

It does make sense. I thought today that I am so active, barely sit down, and that must counter the podge. I keep trying with the weight , just not hard enough. I love digestive biscuits and cheese. What can you do.
