It seems to be better at night, have high cholesterol and are taking statins, whole body aches as well ... any suggestions

Hi nouls. and welcome😊

Over 4 months smokefree is brilliant, well done. Sorry to hear you're not feeling too good but often smoking masks underlying conditions that surface afterwards. It takes time for our bodies to repair the damage done and at least you've had thorough tests to rule out anything more sinister.

Many members have suffered with SOB unfortunately and it appears to be quite a common side effect. If you feel the ventolin isn't helping please go back to your Doctor and they may be able to give you something else to help.

Have a look at the breathing techniques under pinned posts. It's also worth finding out if there are any pulmonary rehab courses near you, as this can be very beneficial.

I know it doesn't feel like it right now but you are doing the very best thing by staying smokefree. So hang in there🚭😊

Hi there nouls, Our lovely Briarwood has given you very good advice. I suffer with SOB, due to only 1 lung and c.o.p.d. I found I had to try a few different inhalers , before finding one that suited me. Exercise seems to be the answer for helping with breathing. Have another word with your doctor.

If you wish we can add you to our wall of winners and assign you a badge. Just let us know your exact quit date (if you remember).

Well done on quitting. Thats one of the best things you can do to help your lungs. :) xx
