i cant hardly breath
I'm 4 month's out and feel pretty much the same. I went to the doctor around 2 months for a spirometry test to make sure I didn't have lung damage or COPD. Heart appt. is tomorrow.
There are a lot of posts on here about breathlessness with quitting smoking. I guess it can last up to a year-basically your lungs are clearing out the junk you put in there and as the cilia regrows it will cause the sensation of your airways being plugged up a bit. I never coughed up crap-but I think it may be easier for those who do.
Check other posts on here for feeling short of breath after quitting. Others do a very good job explaining it. But, go to the Doc just to be sure and put your mind at ease.
Great job on the quit too!

Hi DJ and welcome to quit support.
Congratulations on your 2 months quit. That is fantastic 😀😀
For peace of mind, I would suggest seeing your GP
sore throats and difficulty swallowing can be a common part of your body recovering.
Do have a read under the pinne posts as there is a lot of info on what you can expect as your body adjusts to being smoke free
Please let us know your quit date so we can add you to our wall of winners
Keep up the great quit 👍👍🍀🍀😀😀
