Hey everybody,

Well it's been painful but I've gone 7 days without a cigarette :)

My general low feeling over this last week has been horrific, would certainly welcome any advice you guys may have in terms of ways to boost my mood.

Thanks in advance xx

Hey Peach

Well done. Work out how many cigarettes you haven't smoked. Think for a moment what a fantastic achievement this is. Have a think about the potential health benefits as you continue this awesome quit. You smell buch nicer now. How much did you spend on cigarettes each day? Multiply this by 7.......... Buy yourself a reward!

You are doing something amazing, probably the most important thing you can do for your self. I quit cold turkey 4 months ago, and I promise you it gets easier, it's just take it a day at a time. I highly recommend Alen Carr's book "easy way to quit smoking". The most important thing is never smoke again....never ever!

Not One Puff Ever N.O.P.E.

Great job Peach

Hey Paul,

Thanks for the message and congrats to you on your 4 month success :)

This week has been tough but that being said I am not ready to back out and will keep this going. It's been terrible (felt like I lost my best friend lol) and mid week literally though I was losing my mind yet still I kept at it and am so proud to have completed my first week, not bad for a 20 a day addiction that spanned 20 years. Even as I type that it startles me as I'm only 35!!!!

The easy way book is amazing, read it recently and it completely changed my whole perspective in terms of smoking especially the brainwashing element and also how we perceive it as a habit when it is a nicotine addiction.

Here's to another successful week for both of us :-D x
