Hi Jftyy a big warm welcome to our quit support community
Rite, your on your second attemped at quitting, Jftyy, it dosnt matter how many attempts you have had what matters, is your still flippin trying to quit and that is just ACE
Now then, I've used champix too, it is an excellent form of NRT but, but, I beg you to stick with the full course of the tablets I got cocky about half way through the course and, yep, you've guessed it, I was smoking again after about a week
I dont know whether you have set a quit date already, but I didnt, I took the tabs and about the 10th day, I went from smoking 40 a day, down to 9 soooo, then i new it was working so I knocked them on the head and it wasnt to hard either BUT, like I say, I messed up BIG time
Jftyy, if you need any help what so ever, you just give us a shout and we will try to help you
Good luck, Pete
Thanx monky 😊its nice to know that other people recognise just how hard it can be. Im determined to succeed this time as i now know there r people out there ready to help. Thank you.
Hi Jftyy
Everybody in this community knows how hard it is to quit the smokes soooo, we are all ready to help you if you need it We are all in the same boat as you, we are getting ready to quit, we are quitting, or we have quit for some time this is whats so beautiful about this forum
A couple of years ago now, I joined a quit smoking cessation at my local chemist, it was really good, until I needed help dont get me wrong, the 2 gals that ran it were ever so nice and helpful BUT, they had never smoked themselves soooo, they didnt know how to deal with the symptoms of quitting
This is where this great quit support site stands alone, cos we are all smoking or have been sooo, we all know what its about and help each other
You are on early days yet with the champix, so if you need any help with it, you just give us a nudge eh Always try to eat something when you take a tab, even if its a digestive bicky cos this helps to stop you feeling a bit sickly
Please keep in touch and let us know when you quit smoking
Pete
