Hey i hope everyone is having a fresh clear mind of keeping the work up of not smoking yes I am one month almost 2 stopped and I've been through some awful side effects but over came them some on my own till I found all of yall and now I have overcame the rest ... I didn't know how it felt to breathe this way so clear and everything is different I don't regret stopping and I want to get all the way better and pushing my goal to 6 months if I can make it till then I'll know I can do it and be proud and help those I can.. I want to live longer for my family and my lil family they need me.. I do have a question I have hoarseness during the day I'll be talking and then it hits me and I get really shy and quite cause I'm not sure why I keep doing it and I do drink water that's all I drink and got my family drinking it with me but that's the latest & of course the coughing stuff up here and there I'm dealing with and I really don't like it cause I've to talk to so many people and someone told me it may be serious but I hear a lot I'm really praying it's normal ...?? Please help me with this and I thank you all very much for the support I send a big hug from Mississippi. ..

Well Jessie, a big hug back at ya...😃

Hoarseness and even voice change can happen when you give up smoking.....it's just your body readjusting to not having 4000 + toxins pumped into it....the same thing with your lungs, . It's just there way of clearing out all the gunk 😃😃 your body is trying to heal itself..😃😃 if you are ever in doubt please go see your doctor 😃

Your doing really well Jessie so please keep up the good work 😃😃

Wow jessi, nearly 2 months quit now..........fantastic and well done hun👍🏼

Our lovely Droopy has given you some good advice already. Honey can be very helpful to ease the hoarseness. Be very proud of how far you've come and keep going coz you're doing great👏x

Hi Jessi6, its lovely to hear your still on track gal :) :)

I'm sorry Jessi, but as Droopyj says, its quite normal :o We are all built differently sooo, it takes our bodies different times to clear themselves out :o

Please, please, jessi, when you cough stuff up, please spit it into a hanky, napkin or something, DO NOT SWALLOW IT :o get rid of it :) :)

Your at early days yet Jessi, but if you get worried, then please just nip and see you GP eh :) :)

Hi jessi, you are doing so very well,

The others have given you some great advice, I will just add, I used throat lozenges when I was experiencing either sore, dry or the hoarseness. Like everything else, it will pass 😀😀👍👍
