Hi, my chest is tight and sometimes a bit painful but this is just because my lungs are repairing and I am breathing better and deeper😊 Hope is helps xx
Hiya Nat, sorry to hear you're experiencing some chest pain, I had a tightness that felt like a heavy weight on my chest in the second week of quitting, so I'm wondering if it's a bit like that. It's obviously a bit worrying for you but I think it will pass as your body is healing. Having said that please don't hesitate to visit your Doc if it continues to trouble you. I just wondered if you suffer from indigestion at all coz maybe it's a similar type of pain to that. Sending healing vibes to you and hope you feel better soon. Nearly 2 weeks quit, wow you're doing really well hun😊 x
Hopefully its your lungs clearing out rubbish, coughing more , and only temporary!
No chess pain but only day 4 for me. I have had a touch of monopoly pain though!
I had a terrible tightness in my chest, I used to have to brace myself if I was going to sneeze. Lasted a few weeks, if you are concerned, don't hesitate to see your GP. I got this from about 2 to 3 weeks after I quit
Many thanks for all your replies, I don't mind so much the cramps or tightness...what is concerning me is the sharp sudden pain I get in the heart area , As if I'm being stabbed :(. Does not last more then s few seconds but is Extremly painful
If its when you cough sneeze or breath deeply it could be an infection in breastbone or cartilage. Possibly may have damaged it. This is very common among non smokers too. I suffer. If I sneeze when not expecting it its agony. If I know I'm going to sneeze I can prevent it hurting
