Packed up on 24th Feb, after being diagnosed with COPD, I had been smoking since the age of 14, I am 69 now, didn't think I would ever be able to do it, I do hope I never touch one again, feel much better, and have a bit more money :)

Good going Micky. I'm sure it gets even harder as you get older. Shame about the COPD but you have made the best decision. It will get easier as time goes on. :)

Aup Micky, its great to hear that youve been quit since 24th Feb :) and a big warm welcome to this lovely quit site :)

There are a few members on here with COPD, soooooooo, perhaps you will be able to get together and pass notes to each other eh :)

Hey, Micky, you say that you hope not to touch a ciggie again, well, the hope bits in the flippin bin pal, cos with all our help on here, you WILL NOT touch a ciggie again see :) soooooo, you get hope out of your head right now, and substitute it for WILL NOT ok :) :)

I started smoking at the age of 13, which in my day, I think most people did too :o I'm 58 now and my body has took some hammering from them flippin ciggies, so now's the time to for me to hammer the ciggies back eh, and get in control again, and to help my body heal, and it is doing :) I know that myself :)

So you keep focused on your quit and just remember NOPE, Not One Puff Ever :) :)

If you want to moan and grown about it, then you just come on here pal :) :)

Speak soon, Pete :)

Well done my friend!

My Dad has COPD, it's very difficult.

One of the reasons I'm now on Ecigs... with a view to NO cigs.

You've done it with nothing, which I know is SO hard. I quit for three years. .. still can't figure why I started again with such a vengeance. From one, to a 10 pack to 20 a day again within 3 days.... I think you're always a smoker, just one that's not smoking right now!

Just like I don't have that first drink now!

Stay strong and if a craving strikes get on here pronto. ALWAYS a friendly voice out there to talk you into remaining smoke free.
