For those worrying about giving up smoking or worrying that they won't be able to cope without smoking or worried about how thier bodies will react to giving up smoking. Picture this image I have posted. Every time I start to worry I picture it in my mind and it helps.

Hey Pete thanks :-)

Glad you like the picture. I'm not that much of an emotional person, but that image really hits home and says a lot with very little words.

I keep a copy of it with me to :-)

Speak soon,

Ian :-)

I found it on anxiety support. I don't know who owns it, but I will have a search and see if I can find a bigger copy.

This is great Ian, as you say - so much said in such few words :-)

Worry, in many cases comes from fear about something - usually about something you 'think' may / could happen. However, once you allow for worry to really eat away at you, you then 'believe' that whatever it is you fear would happen 'will happen'. The majority of the time though, whatever it is doesn't happen.

So, the worry really is for nothing but affects the mind in such a big way.

F - false

E - evidence

A - appearing

R - real

It really pays to understand the truth in your picture and to work with any negative thoughts :-)

This is so true Emjay,

A lot if the time, for me anyway it's the fear of fear.

This can relate to anything which I'm thinking or if health related can be a something as simple as a ache or pain.

I use the image to remind that although I'm worried at the time it happens, I won't like you mentioned Emjay, let this eat away at me anymore.
