Hi. I stopped smoking using champix. 3 months in and I started using the odd nicotine lozenge, then ditched the champix altogether and got an e-cig too. I'm 12 months quit in a couple of weeks. I am now more addicted to nicotine than when I smoked. I would recommend you use the champix as intended, without any form of nicotine replacement. Otherwise it won't really work. Unless of course you use e-liquid with zero nicotine in it.
I'm now 3 months on my second quit. The first like you was just short of a year.
I never really had to many issues with my weight. I do however always make sure I have loads of fruit in the home. The kids were told not to take all my quitting apples.
Exercise like a bike ride or brisk walk will help burn those extra calories, plus helpclear and heal your lungs as well as Ipimprove your wellbeing.
When I used champix, after about 10 days I just didnt want any cigs, I didnt need any other sort of NRT to help sooo my advice to you is to just stick with the chapix, cos it is very good But please please finish the whole course, cos I got cocky and cut it short !! yep you've guessed it, I relapsed
Erm, I think most of us put a bit of weight on when we quit, you have to try to snack on fruit etc and try to get some exercise as well
I would rather gain the weight which can be lost again with a bit of perseverance & quit the cigs than be thin any day. Good luck with this attempt, this is my 4th attempt & so far so good.Just take one day at a time.
