Good morning everyone, nice and sunny down south too - but very windy with it.

Big welcome to Mummyquits, nice to have you aboard.

Just checked my calendar and it was the 26th May last year when I madly went in the sea for the first time. Brrrr! This year, I haven't even put a toe in yet - I think water's got up to the heady heights of about 11 degrees C. Going for a stroll down there a bit later and might pluck up the courage to take off my shoes and socks and try it out.

Whatever you're doing, have a great smoke-free day enjoying the weather (although some of you are still at the planning stage.)

Looks like the sun is shining again for us here. Yaye!

I'm on Grandbaby duties all weekend So we've twisted GrandPapa to take us out chicken picking so hopefully by the end of the day I'll be a mom to 2 little chick, chick, chick, chick, chickens :0) who may lay a little egg for me I'm eggsited!

It's lovely to see some old faces reappearing (big waves to Sarah from yesterday!) and I know there's a couple more of you who will hopefully be popping over here later Big waves to you too

Mad, I'm doing a great line in cultivating weeds. There's so many of them I can't get them replaced with flowers quick enough.

Been out on a quick bike ride this morning. Decided that as my trousers I wear for work were making a good attempt at trying to strangle me on Thursday I decided to hop on the scales this morning. Eeeek I have put on 9lb since I stopped smoking in January. I am NOT impressed at all. All that flippin work I put into losing weight in 2010 and its going to rack and bloody ruin. Of course its not been helped by sitting around on my bum waiting for summer to put in some sort of appearance.

So here are some pics of the route I have to take most trips out on my bike, taken this morning from half way up or half way down the hill depending on which way you look at it.

The big blot on the landscape you see in the pic below is a new Asda cold storage place they had built spoiling the view. It used to be all fields as far as the eye could see.
