Following a five year term as Chair of Trustees, Simon Koe, this week confirmed he would be stepping down from the charity.

Over the past five years, Simon has overseen a number of PSPA successes, including PSPA’s move from Towcester to Milton Keynes, our 25th Anniversary celebrations, announcing funding for the PROSPECT study as well as the launch of a world first Interactive Resource for Healthcare Professionals.

All of the PSPA Trustees and staff team will miss Simon greatly. As some of our supporters may have met Simon at a PSPA event, whether it was at the London Marathon, a Family and Friends Day or PSP & CBD symposium, we are sure you will join us in thanking him for his support and contribution to the charity over the past five years.

Simon Koe commented: “I would like to personally thank the Board for their contribution to the charity, particularly over the recent Covid-19 emergency. Having had such a personal connection with PSPA it has been a real lesson to work with such committed Trustees and staff as they have worked to make the lives of those living with these diseases better and I very much look forward to the next stage of the charity’s development.”

PSPA Board of Trustees, said: “Simon’s commitment to PSPA has been exceptional, as Trustee and for the past five years as Chair. His legacy is to leave the charity on a secure foundation for which we are grateful, particularly at this challenging time as we continue to support all those who are affected by PSP and CBD. We wish him and his family all the best.”

Andrew Symons, PSPA CEO, said: “Simon has had a fantastic term as Chair of Trustees, overseeing a number of positive developments for the charity as well as supporting us through the recent Covid-19 crisis. I would like to thank Simon for his dedication and commitment to the role of Chair over the past five years and wish him well for the future.”

The Board of Trustees are conducting a selection process for the next Chair of PSPA and will announce the appointment shortly.
