I miss seeing Sam (Sammy?) the gentle giant 😂 He always steals the show away from everyone else. Such a ham! Of course your mom and her friend look pretty too!
It’s beautiful here today as well and it makes a huge difference in my mood. Iced tea sounds great. Maybe I shall make up a pitcher. Yum!
The sun continues to shine here too! What has been called an Indian summer, I believe!
We had our driveway chat yesterday. Ours is an open drive through, with about 14 houses. So we had lots of space between my lawn, car ports opposite and the tarseaĺ. We range in age between 60-86, with 1 early 20s. She is the only one I have seen in her night clothes in the past week, having a bit of cabin fever! Probably cos she has to bubble in with her dad who is working from home. She may be out of work too!
Rest of us seem to be taking isolation in our stride! Gardening, painting, wallpaper stripping, reading, tidying, you name it! I am trying to downsize my pile of 'junk' I brought with me when I moved!!
Would have been so different if it had been last year!! I would have been unable to complete my renovations. My neighbour passed away in August unexpectedly. We lost another neighbour end January, who had been fighting cancer for years.
This year we seem to be a close, stable group - ready for most of what is being thrown our way! We are hoping to stay that way, and now have a regular meet!
Stay safe everyone!

I love this! During these times, it has drawn us closer —- I really never imagined a pandemic would happen in my lifetime.
The way we all lived, I am surprised it hasn't happened sooner! Really enjoying the peace and quiet. No noise from the roads, or the drone of the motorway, just the chirping from the birds. They are allowed out in the sunshine and with this lovely weather, certainly are not obeying the two metre rule!!!
Enjoy the sunshine while it is here!! It could be a long winter, I think. I will be warm, but guess some in our more remote places, who are swimming and surfing and partying at the mo, may find it a bit nippy in a month or two!! Cos they may not be able to come back for a while!

Wow, that is some size of a dog. He is beautiful, you just have to look at those big sad eyes and it's easy to fall in love with him. x
Your very own gentle giant - a great companion for your mum - a wonderful member of the family. Animals give unconditional love, don't they?
Love Hils
