Across the road from my house is an old stone barn and from my chair at the table in my kitchen I can see the whole facade and the lichen covered slate roof .Today as I looked out ,I watched the sunrise and the night curtain slip away along the side of the barn revealing the old mellow stones which glowed in the early morning sun in a range of ambers pinks and soft golds. A family of sparrows arrived and clung precariously to the stones warming themselves in the sunshine then they were gone - and so starts another day .

Thanks Jill yes I am doing as I am told (more or less!)
Thanks for sharing that lovely peaceful image. I've read it several times, and somehow it soothes my soul a bit every time. You are a beautiful writer. Peace, Easterncedar
I can see it exactly as you described it
Thank you for painting such a beautiful picture and reminding me to appreciate what is around us. Jean
The last two evenings here in Somerset we have had beautiful sunsets, after being roused at 2am I go back to bed and tried to imagine them again I have tried to get Des to share lovely things like sunsets but I don't think he focuses well enough. From his bed he can see the two woodpigeons that come every day and look to find seed and the odd leftover cake.If there is nothing there Des orders them a meal from our kitchen. There is a regular robin( we think) but he feeds from the feeder in the apple tree knowing how quick our cat is.Started a reply at 7.30 finishing now but Des washed shaved dressed and fed Not bad! What a beautiful site for you to enjoy. Not many of us get to see a view like that as we live in the city. Hope your day was a good one and your PSP journey will be gentle upon your body, soul, and spirit.

Lovely description Georgepa, I have a family of sparrows who shelter in the eaves on a cold windy day but they poop all over the newly painted sills of my cottage.Hope you are recovering enough for contact.R
Yes up and running - if a little cautiously ! I saw your profile and you have the same problems as me -the dementia aspect - its a bummer isn,t it. Georgepa
Very hard sometimes but somehow we carry on Eddie went to day care at Hospice care today he seemed to enjoy it and gave me a bit of respite.I couldn't quite get the hang of being on my own again and not having to worry whether he is trying to get out of the car when I am racing around the supermarket.Hopefully he will be going each week. This was suggested by the community matron.R
Yes our community matron has suggested the same but my wife is resisting it as she says I will dump her there and not come back ! But I am working on it and hopefully after Christmas we will get there .
That was beautiful puts you in a nice warm place,
