David is not able to empty his bladder anymore. A catheter was put last Sunday temporary and the urologist will do some test next week.
I appreciate some advice and previous experience.

Did they do a UTI test? A UTI can cause bladder issues. Since a urologist is involved have the prostate checked, not PSP related but definitely a possible male issue.
I am presuming David has not had any recent fall which could cause this.
My mum has a similar issue of not being able to pass urine . Whilst she had UTI as well, the Neuro had given her Uro-muscle relaxants so that she could pass urine at times. She finally ended up with a full time silicon catheter about 6-8 months ago as it was resulting in too many UTI and infection spreading.
You will need to balance the fluid intake so that neither is the body dehydrated nor is the intake excess putting pressure on kidneys etc.
