Update: 4th day of Mom inlaw in the hospital

Stomach still swelled, she is on pain reliever and antibiotic, she can no longer speak and cannot interact anymore. I hope she cannot feel the pain as her dosage of pain reliever has doubled. She doesn't have any oral intake, fluids and supplements are on IV. It's her 8th day not being able to deficate. She can't move, can't even lift her arms. Today is her Annointing of the sick, recieving the final sacrament.

I know it's hard to watch your mom in this condition but I am 100% sure the medical staff are making sure she is in no pain or discomfort. Spend time with her, she may not be able to communicate with you but I personally think she hears you and is aware of your presence.
