Wanted to send a status report regarding Marie_14. Marie has broken her right arm. She will have to have surgery (don't know when scheduled). She has limited typing ability but I thought everyone might want to let her know they are thinking of her.
Please write to her and wish her well. I am sure she will respond when she can.
We are all here for each other no matter what. PSP be damned. (Marie lost Gary last year)

Oh Marie! What a bummer! And bet you are right handed too!
You will find it difficult to do most things, dressing, toileting, brushing hair, showering, teeth brushing, making a sandwich, so make sure you are given help! Hope your surgery is soon and successful!
This is the voice of experience here! Did same, my left wrist, 3 years ago - I am left handed! - so know what you are going through and have in store.
Learn to use the other hand, laborious but satisfying! And frustrating too.
I spent the time reading and relaxing after I had filled in all the insurance forms to claim back costs of a missed holiday!
Private message me when you can if you want to have a scream! Or maybe I can help.
Marie I did the same a year ago and it was such a nuisance but you will be surprised how you manage and I had no one at home to help. Hope everything goes well xx
PSP is a horrible illness. I wish I could say something that could make things easier for you. What I can tell you is that you are not alone. I hope this helps a little.
Andy -
my wife has PSP and from what her doctor has told us, she has lived longer with PSP than anyone. 16 years and still using a walker. Wheelchair if we go to Costco…
Dear Marie, what a nasty surprise this is with the xmas season on your doorstep I hope you will not have to wait too long before the operation...and that there will be enough helping hands around . Take care And mend quickly, love , Anne Baer
Marie, I am soooo sorry. I have been out of state, visiting my daughter and family in Portland, Oregon. It rained all 7 days I was there....which was nice.
Marie, I am so sorry to hear about your arm and I hope everything heals well and quickly. What a lousy thing to have happen especially at this time of the year when things are already extremely difficult. One day at a time will get you through.
Mottsie.... You are hysterical. Thanks for the laugh.
