Not such a good Sunday

Well one always knows with CBD or PSP that things can change overnight. My plans have gone sort of haywire. Nigel seized up this morning and was taken into hospital this morning. He has been admitted for urinary sepsis and vitamin B deficiency so is on IV antibiotics and vit k injections. They reckon 48 hours then oral medication will be ok bu it does mean he will be due for discharge the day I have my op !!! One cannot be unwell and be a carer can one? I cannot cancel my op so I will just have to worry about it all tomorrow and get something organised. It is out of my hands right now. Thanks to everyone who responded to my happier post. It is really appreciated and makes me feel there is a bigger family out there and I am not so isolated. Love Ali B xxxx

I am so sorry. If it's not one thing it's another.

Interesting on the Vit B deficiency. I have been reading the shares on the Parkinson site and many of them are taking Thiamine HCL (Vit B1, I believe) and find their PD symptoms decreasing. Yet we know that Parkinson's and PSP are two very different animals.

I applaud your Scarlett O'Hara approach (I'll think of that tomorrow). It can often be the only sane approach to certain events.

Keeping you in my prayers.

Oh Ali, what a bother! :-( Poor Nigel!

I hope you get it sorted without too much stress to you...You don't need that now, of all times!

Wish we could be closer to help XXX

Sorry to hear about Nigel, hope all improves quickly.

You sound like a fighter, good luck for Tuesday.

Hi. Just on the side...we have vit B patches that you can stick behind your ears. They say transcutaneous absorption is the quickest and best option. Maybe consider getting these for Nigel. Just to prevent the vit B problem. Good luck for tomorrow...will be thinking of you. Lots of love. Debs

A big hugh.

Ali I am so sorry that you have to face this before your operation! Will family step in to help? I do hope so.

I have never heard about low vitamin B being a problem. We don't know what we don't know? Hopefully they will sort him out and all will be well.

Good luck with your operation.

Hugs.
