My mom was a heavy drinker back in the day. However, she would refrain from libations on New Years Eve declaring, "We shouldn't start the year off with a hangover" a good bit of wisdom from my mom ....I guess I should have "declared " this yesterday , eh? maybe next NYE....remind me.....
Happy New Year everyone may good things come our way and the wisdom and comfort of the Lord be ours....

No hangover for me, just a ferocious cough and feverish cold, so I look like I'm recovering from a hard night and feel worse. I'm considering making myself something medicinal, wotthehell.
Thank you! Yah no hang over for me either...B and I celebrated at 12 your time (10 our time) with a glass of extraordinary Ginger Ale....it had lots of ginger so it was hot! strange experience cuz I was drinking the last bit of an icy 8 oz glass when the heat hit!
No hangovers here. Was up at 6am shoveled the snow again or the carers don't have to come. They arrive on sneakers and do not want to get their feet wet. They do not have to come if the walks ate not shoveled. Had clear them last night also for the pm carers. Kids with shovels are an extinct breed here. Iam grateful I survey another day Hubby is having a rough day again but is sound asleep at the moment. I will have a nap too there is still a long day ahead. Cheers .
Tell me again where you live, if it's the US it must be in the NW or NE somewhere....You cant' blame the agency to assure the safety of their employees ....however had they thought that if one needs help to take care of another, they probably need help with the sidewalks....come prepared with shovels dear carers.....or even better have money set aside for immediate needs of the carer, ie sidewalk safety!
Noella, I have to tell you how much I appreciate your positive attitude. Even amidst your problematic situations, you seem to find a good thing....(I cheated and went back to your profile to find where you lived) I instead found very affirming assertions about your goings on.
Thank you, Noella I pray that your year continue to be life affirming.
W and I went out with a few friends for dinner and there was a guy set up in the corner providing music. W and I managed to have a short dance together something i will treasure. We saw in the new year with party poppers and a glass of champagne provided by the restaurant. Arrived home at 2.00am. Daughter and her family were staying over the weekend but Grandchildren were very good - they let me sleep in until 8 this morning. So a good start to 2017 for us. Hope good things come your way AVB in 2017. Lots of love Nanny857xx.
Thank You Nanny, Wow it sounds like your new year starting off just right. My last dance with Bruce was at my sons wedding in 2014. He sat in his walker and held my hands while we did a very modified dance. But like you, I will treasure it forever! May we all make memories to treasure this year!
