Do you think someone out there doesn't like me, George been agitated all the afternoon, doctor just left, he has a chest infection again, feeling totally fed up, not sure if I can cope with all this again, feeling totally drained, this is not fair, haven't we been through enough the past few weeks. Yvonne xxxxx
Not again: Do you think someone out there... - PSP Association
Not again
Aww Yvonne so unfair!
Strangely I had to call GP out again today, dad has another chest infection (he only finished his penecillin) for the last chest infection 8 days ago and get this, gout (most likely) in one toe! His toe is very painful! This can happen apparently when one is bed bound?! Will arrange blood tests tomorrow.
Getting back to you and George I know how stressful it all is! I feel completely drained today mentally and physically! So must you?! We just have to plod on and hope things improve (unlikely) but you know what I mean....
Big hugs darling x
Sorry to hear of repeat infections for your loved ones. Hope they respond to meds.
Don't think gout is that unusual. My man was diagnosed with it in his knee after I realized it was painful and swollen. I wonder if the immune system is not working well, or if it is simply the body not getting rid of fluid well enough. It also appeared at same time as pneumonia. Hope the meds help.Hugs, Jen xxx
Thank you Amanda here's to another sleepless night xxxx
Bless you Yvonne, it's total s**t isn't it? Remind me, do you have a hospice involved? X
And sorry where are you on chc? X
Yes we have a hospice and we are getting CHC xxxxx
Well would the hospice take George in for respite? That chc needs to kick in quick as the carers will help, obviously it doesn't take all the stress away but it definitely helps. X
Yvonne, that really stinks. Feeling totally drained as well. Who the hell is testing us and for what?
Love and big hugs,
Audrey
I know Audrey all this is not fair I hope you are coping with all that you have going on, sending you a big hug Yvonne xxxxx
Hugs Yvonne, hang in there.xx If it's not one thing it's another isn't it. Xx
I am so sorry!
You need a break darlin. Find someone in your CHC team to sit with him while you get some rest or leave for a while something take care of yourself....

Oh dear Yvonne. One thing on top of another. George has you to look after him but who's looking after you. I can only send you my prayers as I can't help you physically. I know how physically and emotionally draining it all is, had a bit of a day here ourselves yesterday. All the best. Take care. Marie
How depressing, Yvonne. I know you have carers so I hope you manage to have breaks. Essential.
Love, Jean xx
Sending love and hugs.X
Thank you all you hugs and prayers make me feel better, rubbish night, George has gone back to bed, just sitting watching taped programmes xxxxx
PSP and all of the s!!!t that goes with the territory sucks. So sorry you are both having such a rough time, hope things improve when you get all of the support in place.
Love and big hugs

George is starting to get greedy with these rotten chest infections, isn't he!!!!! Hope the antibiotics are starting to kick in.
Yvonne, what help are you getting from CHC at the moment? Sounds as if it needs to be upped, you can't afford to get completely drained. Try and get him into respite as soon as he is better. You have got to have a break, with George constantly poorly, you will not last the course.
Sending big (((hugs))) and much love
Lots of love
Heady
What a nightmare for you and poor George sending you both a massive hug xxx
As if all things PSP aren't enough, then add infection - and pain? I'm thinking of you with love. Let us know.
Cuttercat
Heady going to get in touch with CHC when you is better, all he has done today is call me, feeling stressed, but I am going out with my daughter tonight, thanks to my son in law, we are going to see the 4 tops at the O2 looking forward to it xxxxx. Thank you all xxxxxx
Oh I am sooooo Jealous!!! I loved that band. I saw them many years ago in Bristol. Have a fabulous evening and forget the world for a couple of hours. Best medicine going, apart from wine, but I am presuming, that will be on the menu as well.
Quiet night for me tonight, being with my sister for the past few days, lots of wine! Off to my daughters tomorrow for the weekend, no doubt, lots more wine and sympathy. I'll be glad when S comes home, for the rest!!!
Lots of love
Heady
Yvonne, so sorry to hear you are both going through the mill again! Life is just not fair is it? Hope you manage to get some rest and some help! Lots of love to you.

Thank you all xxxx
Hi everybody we have just been to the doctors this afternoon,we were there last Friday with my wife having one horrendous cough this is her second one in last two months she had chest X-ray came back clear that the first thing the doctor on the first occasion but still had antibiotics then five weeks later back the cough and some antibiotics, the cough came back last week back to doctors an inhaler this time but doctor said if it didn't help than possible tablets went today seen a different doctor sound chest and back and said he could a bit crackling so antibiotics and steroids. But on Wednesday at the day care centre a member of staff said maybe vick vapour rub might help but had I heard about rubbing vick on the soles of the feet my reaction was to smile but said I would try anything if it meant she could get some sleep so that night I give a good and it did help because did sleep better. I went to sleep in the bed in the spare just so could try and get some myself as I was getting tired out myself which wasn't good for either of us
