So we wer told 2 weeks ago by doctor dad had weeks not months left. And yesterday a pallative consultant came to see dad. Lovely man. He says 1 week but days wouldnt surprise him....we are all in this unreal place and mum is totally heartbroken. But hospice at home have started coming in and mum feels releived. She also had a priest out today.....after yrs of this ilness i still cant beleive its coming to an end. I cherish the man that is my dad. I was widowed young and he was the only other man in my life. Now hes going...😢 please god when the time comes make it peacefull . My thought to everyone going through this xxxx

Days hours weeks we do not know. The only thing we are assured of is eternity....May your dad rest in peace. May you be comforted in the memories.

Dad is hanging on...hes had days of breathing then not breating. Hes been in a coma like state but yesterday he opened his eyes to respond to us as best he could. Not for long but guess hes saying "im still here " then back to sleep he goes. Hisceyes are all ways half open when he sleeps day 4 . This is so hard my poor dad 😢😢 xx

G, I know how difficult this must be for all of you right now. It does feel surreal doesn't it? Almost never the way you expected it. We went through this with my mom when she passed (non PSP-stroke) away peacefully at home. Thank God you have help and support and I hope he passes peacefully and comfortably with all of you by his side.
