Such a poor weekend I can't even spell my own name now - things are really going down hill . By the way our assessment for CHC funding goes to panel on Tuesday .Wish us luck - if I get the funding perhaps I can take up catheter watching professionally as I will have some spare time - it's a thought .

George good luck for Tuesday hope all goes well for you both. Sorry about your weekend, but we are in the same boat only thing is we have had a horrible week. So tired but can't bring myself to go to bed, I really dislike night time. Sending you a big hug. Yvonne x
Sorry to hear yuo cnat spel ritgh now, I am taking it it's not just about CHC funding. B has had his catheter since July and we have not had one week yet that there has not been a snafu soemhow. Two weeks ago I gave him all his cranberry juice at once...turned his pee deep amber red....freaked me out....luckily I had read where berry will indeed do just that..Last week the tube got all kinked up in the middle of the night. About 1400 MLs of bladder flow dampened the bed (Had a pad but still wet) and created a small river leading into our closet. Luckily (she says facetiously) all the cardboard boxes absorbed the stinky stuff ... After pulling out things I haven't seen in years (and still don;'t want to) I also got the added benefit of seeing which way my old wooden floors flow...hahaha well trying to give you some comedic relief emphasizing you are not the only one dealing with tubes going in and out the body! However George, since im in the US I can only give you an sympathetic shoulder and an exclamation of surprise since I really cannot believe you are still fighting for this CHC stuff....I do hope this time you get fully funded without any reservation from the Agency...

Tuesday will be good, I know it and if not make sure you go to the top of command and that each link in the chain are talking to each other, find out their names and contact them until every one is so P.......... off with you that something happens. They have a duty of care. All this with a determined smile on your face!!! having been up all night etc ... My love to you both xxx
This PSP sure is difficult to cope with, with what seems like little or no support from professionals, sorry to hear your in the not coping place, good luck with the CHC, it sounds like you needed that in place months ago
Love Debbie x
The best of luck tomorrow. You sound like you're completely worn out. God bless you and fingers crossed. Marie
Sorry you've had a bad weekend, wishing you all the best for tuesday. Catheter watching, i'm still doing it even though hubby is in the nursing home.....xx
Fingers and everything crossed that the funding is put in place, will give you more breathing space with extra help. What I don't understand is that the government/medical profession do everything to keep folk alive but then don't offer any help when the going gets difficult, doesn't make sense. Hope your week goes better than the weekend. Best of luck for tomorrow.
Love Kate xxx
I totally agree with you Kate. Woe betide any one who talks of euthanasia, but they are practising it all the time, with their lack of care. We all work 24/7 and if someone cracks the wrong way and harm is done, they are thrown in jail. Yet they play with people's lives, in the appalling way they are treating George and everyone else.
Lots of love
Heady
Sorry you have had such a lousy time, and fingers crossed for CHC. There is no doubt you should get it.
xx
Fingers crossed for you both, tomorrow.
Perhaps we can suggest catheter watching for the para-olympics !!!
I'm practising with a convene [on Chris, not me ! ]
love Jean xx
Good luck. Hugs.X
I got 50% funding from the chc and 50% from social services. The problem as I see it is that it should be down to luck wether you get funding or not it should be a clinical decision. But good luck for tomorrow
Sending you lots of luck for tomorrow, am desperate to see you get the help you so need and deserve!! X
Gosh George I'm so sorry about your weekend ... this damn PSP is sooooo trying! We are in same boat sadly. Sending one up there for you that Tuesday brings you the news you desperately need! Love to you x
Good luck for tomorrow and hope all goes well.
Hello Geirge pa. I have been thinking about you and wondering if any news on the CHC .
I hope you will be fortunate to be successful , It should give you quicker access to more help
Believe it or not we haven't heard yet .Our preassessment was early June ,our main assessment where the nurse who did it said she would be recommending that we received it was early September -since then nothing other than I know it was sent to the quality assurance panel on 17 Octoberwho examine it before it goes to the verfication panel .What a system .By the time they get it everything has changed again .
it can take. Very long time , it did for us .
I believe it's not suppose to take longer then three months
We went well over .
It's sometime because one or another of them are on holiday or on sick leave .
Who is you coordinator. Ours is the lead district nurse
I think they need a a coordinator to coordinate the team
