Can anyone tell me of a decent provider of Holiday Insurance for PSP sufferers with the complication of Breast Cancer and recovering from Throat Cancer. I am seeking cover for travel within Europe. By decent, someone who does not charge as much as the Holiday itself costs !

Are in the UK? There was a discussion about this a couple of months ago here and someone did have good advice. I imagine if you search on this site you will find it. Good luck.

I have insurance for my husband who is psp sufferer through Liverpool Victoria , have used the twice now buying single ins each time for Europe . The cost has been about £45 for seven days. He has no other problems. My friend who has several conditions including a life threatening condition has also taken cover with them . Good luck

LV would not insure my wife, perhaps with her having Breast Cancer as well is the issue. Still looking.

Another idea...my GP referred me to a carers association support group.....don't know if you have such in your area But I saw my support worker for first time last week and she is sorting out lots of issues for me but one of the questions she asked was ..do I have holiday ins as she has lists of ins companies that are helpful. Just wondering if maybe you have such or a breast care support worker who might be helpful, or could a local hospice know of companies , it's very difficult isn't it ,,our next holiday in May will be our last chance to take a break outside of the uk , it s just too difficult to cope with all the issues. Please post if you find cover .best wishes

I've researched older postings and names such as SAGA, ALL CLEAR, FREE SPIRIT and STAYSURE are mentioned. I'll give them a try..... thanks and I too am looking at what type of holidays we can take due to my wifes ongoing condition. This one, also in May is to Majorca.

Hi

If you are in the UK the PSPA Helpline have a list of travel insurance companies that may cover you. Please give them a call if you are still having problems. 0300 0110 122. Monday to Friday 9.00am- 5.00pm and then 7.00pm-9.00pm

I have used Rothwell and Fowler and Able2Travel when I used to take my husband. He has PSP with an overlap of CBD ,cholesterol problems and previous heart attack, is registered blind and has bladder issues. No cancer though.

Up to now cheapest cost I have is £ 820 both SAGA and All Clear can cover and this is for a single holiday of 14 days duration and to be honest it adds 50% on to the cost of the Holiday. My wife has PSP, Breast Cancer (treatment by tablet) and has had Throat Cancer with Chemo and Radiotherapy just under 3 years ago. An unimaginable combination of ailments but she soldiers on and I desperately wish to give her some SUN while on a holiday (Majorca).
