Holiday days over??

I have fabulous work family and they walked Snowdon a few weeks ago to raise money for me, embarrassed as I was by that people kept telling me if that’s the only way people can help let them. They reached the top. I asked them to donate some to PSPA and some to Marie Curie which I believe they have done. They money they gave me was with the intention of a holiday and other things I may need. So we decided a couple of days in Burnham, quite local 2 hours in the car. The caravan we could get at such short notice was not fully adapted. This really highlighted how much Craig has deteriorated. No home comforts (adaptations). It was not a holiday for him and certainly not for me, however different scenery, some sea air and he caught some sun in his face. He spent some time with our 2 beautiful grandchildren. Noah my grandson who is 5 was watching his grandad eat a sandwich and as Craig’s eye movements are very , very slow he said “look at grandad sleep eating”😍

My neighbors have rallied around Larry and I. Nice to know they are there. Not much they can do. They do what they can. I am also inclined to go it alone having done it most of my life. I have started to let others help.

Looks like a good group of family and friends. I am glad you managed to get away for a few days!

Out of the mouths of babes eh! Very brave trying a place without adaptations but as you say a change of scenery lifts the spirit. Is that the Burnham in Norfolk? Love North Norfolk. If you get another chance to get away, even though it's a lot of effort it is lovely if you do get an adapted cottage/bungalow with a garden so that all of their needs are catered for.

Burnham Somerset. It’s a couple of hours up the motorway so is not too far for Craig. We are going again in October bit the caravan is fully adapted so should be easier xx
