I am 12 weeks pregnant and I had a huge blood discharge last Wednesday. I run to the doctor, but the baby was fine. I came home and I continued to lose blood and today it is better. I had a lletz procedure in late 2018 and a bit of the cervix was removed. The doctor said that I should have an exam to check the size of my cervix. I will speak to my midwife to request this. In case I have an issue with the cervix, I read that there are some treatments available. Has anyone experienced the same?

Weak cervix...? Huge blood loss at 12 weeks
Hello, I know this is an old post but did you get an answer to your question? Did they do anything to you? I also had a lletz procedure and read that it can weaken your cervix! Hope all was ok for you.
Hello there! I underwent a lletz procedure in 2018 which removed 14 mm. When I was 19 weeks pregnant, my cervix measured 26 mm long. Then I checked the size of my cervix twice and the last time was I was 22 weeks. I gave birth by cesarean at 39+3 days. I think that the fact that you underwent a lletz procedure does not automatically mean that you have a weak cervix. There are people that have a weak cervix and never underwent a lletz procedure. I took some precautions though. I had no sex and I avoid carrying heavy stuff. If I were you I would encourage you first to find out how much of your cervix was removed (if you don't know it already) and then to request an intravaginal exam to check the size of the cervix size just in case.
